Subject: About taking proper steps against mosquito menace in Dakkhinpara.

Sir,

I, on behalf of the inhabitants of Naddapara, Dhaka, would like to draw your kind attention that the people are suffering tremendously due to mosquito menace. Now mosquitoes breed freely in the dirty water of the drains and ponds of this area/ locality. Insecticides have never been sprayed regularly in our area. Now a lot of mosquitoes have grown in large numbers.

In the evening mosquitoes enter in swarms all over the house and outside. They are so terrible that we can not sit anywhere inside and outside without a mosquito net. The worst affected are children and students. They cannot study attentively in any way. For this reason, People are afflicted with various diseases ‍such as malaria, dengue, Chikungunya, etc.

I, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to take necessary steps against the mosquito menace and enable you to live safely and oblige thereby.

বিষয়ঃ দক্ষিণপাড়ায় মশার আতঙ্কের বিরুদ্ধে যথাযথ পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ সম্পর্কে।

স্যার,

আমি ঢাকার নদ্দাপাড়ার বাসিন্দাদের পক্ষ থেকে আপনার দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করতে চাই যে, মশার আতঙ্কে মানুষ চরম দুর্ভোগে পড়ছে। এখন এই এলাকার/ লোকালয়ের ড্রেন ও পুকুরের নোংরা পানিতে অবাধে মশা বংশবিস্তার করে। আমাদের এলাকায় নিয়মিত কীটনাশক স্প্রে করা হয়নি। এখন প্রচুর পরিমাণে মশা বেড়েছে। সন্ধ্যার পর মশা ঝাঁকে ঝাঁকে প্রবেশ করে ঘরের ও বাইরে। এগুলো এতই ভয়ংকর যে আমরা মশারি ছাড়া ঘরের ভিতরে-বাইরে কোথাও বসতে পারি না। সবচেয়ে বেশি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হচ্ছে শিশু ও শিক্ষার্থীরা। তারা কোনোভাবেই মনোযোগ দিয়ে পড়াশোনা করতে পারে না। এই কারণে, মানুষ বিভিন্ন রোগে আক্রান্ত হয় যেমন- ম্যালেরিয়া, ডেঙ্গু, চিকুনগুনিয়া ইত্যাদি।

তাই, আমি প্রার্থনা করি এবং আশা করি যে আপনি মশার বিরুদ্ধে প্রয়োজনীয় পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণের জন্য যথেষ্ট সদয় হবেন এবং আমাদেরকে নিরাপদে জীবনযাপন করতে এবং এর দ্বারা বাধ্য করতে সক্ষম হবেন।
