There were two friends in a certain village and they were very close to each other. One day they suddenly lost their way while looking at the natural beauty in a forest. The forest was home to various wild animals (beasts). So they promised each other that they would be with each other in times of danger.

One of them could climb a tree. And the other friend could not climb the tree. They were looking for a way out of the forest(woodland). After a while they saw a bear coming towards them. They both got more scared. Then the friend said to him, “Friend, now I will climb up (go up, uprise) a tree. Since you can’t climb the tree, you can run away from here at once.” Hearing this, the other friend was very disappointed and could not find any other way. He flattened (fell on) the ground like a dead man.

When the bear came to him, he thought that the man was dead. So the bear thought it was a dead body and slowly walked away. The friend in the tree saw everything. When the bear was gone he came down from the tree and asked his friend eagerly, “Friend, what did the bear whisper (rustle) in your ear?” The friend replied, “It advised me not to trust a friend who abandons his friend in times of danger.”

Moral: Real friend is the one who always holds up and stands by you in any condition.

বিপদে থাকা বন্ধুই প্রকৃত (প্রকৃত) বন্ধু

একটি নির্দিষ্ট গ্রামে দুই বন্ধু ছিল এবং তারা একে অপরের খুব কাছের ছিল। একদিন এক বনে প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য দেখতে দেখতে তারা হঠাৎ পথ হারিয়ে ফেলে। বনটি ছিল বিভিন্ন বন্য প্রাণীর (পশুর) আবাসস্থল। তাই তারা একে অপরকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিল যে তারা বিপদের সময় একে অপরের পাশে থাকবে।

তাদের একজন গাছে উঠতে পারে। আর অন্য বন্ধু গাছে উঠতে পারেনি। তারা বন থেকে বেরিয়ে আসার পথ খুঁজছিল। কিছুক্ষণ পর তারা দেখতে পেল একটি ভালুক তাদের দিকে আসছে। দুজনেই আরও ভয় পেয়ে গেল। তখন বন্ধু বলল, “দোস্ত, এখন আমি গাছে উঠব। যেহেতু তুমি গাছে চড়তে পারো না, তুমি এক্ষুণি এখান থেকে পালিয়ে যেতে পারো।” একথা শুনে অপর বন্ধুটি খুব হতাশ হলো এবং অন্য কোন উপায় না পেয়ে সে মৃত মানুষের মতো মাটিতে লুটিয়ে পড়ল। যখন ভালুক এল। তার কাছে সে ভাবল লোকটা মারা গেছে।তাই ভাল্লুক এটাকে মৃতদেহ ভেবে ধীরে ধীরে চলে গেল।

গাছের বন্ধুটি সব দেখল।ভাল্লুক চলে গেলে সে গাছ থেকে নেমে তার বন্ধুকে সাগ্রহে জিজ্ঞেস করল (জানতে চাইলো), “বন্ধু, ভাল্লুক তোমার কানে কি ফিসফিস (আস্তে বলা) করলো?” বন্ধু উত্তর দিল, “এটা আমাকে এমন একজন বন্ধুকে বিশ্বাস না করার পরামর্শ দিয়েছে যে বিপদের সময় তার বন্ধুকে পরিত্যাগ করে।”

নৈতিকতা: প্রকৃত বন্ধু সেই ব্যক্তি যে সর্বদা তোমাকে ধরে রাখে এবং যেকোনো পরিস্থিতিতে তোমার পাশে থাকে।
