Dialogue the failure of recent university admission tests
Suppose, you are Md Shariful Islam (Sharif). Your friend id Md Ripon Hassan (Ripon).
Sharif: Hello! Ripon, how are you?
Ripon: I am fine. What about you?
Sharif: I am fine too. But you are looking so upset. Why are you worried?
Ripon: I am worried about my sister’s admission. She fails to qualify in university admission tests.
Sharif: Didn’t your sister score GPA-5 in both SSC and HSC exams?
Ripon: Yes, he did well in both exams. But the fact is that only 17 of the 3874 who passed the ‘Kha’ unit test have got the chance to study English in Dhaka University. Same is the case with other departments, even the other universities.
Sharif: I have read through newspapers that the examinees have failed massively in recent university admission tests. Do you have any ideas?
Ripon: Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University remarked that the standards of education had been over generalized. Not everyone who gets a GPA-5 is an equal talent.
Sharif: I agree with him. At present, guidance and teachers are very eager for getting GPA-5. But only GPA-5 is not a solution for best talent.
Ripon: You are right. Recent admission test has affected this very truth. Now students are unwilling to know more. They are confined to a limited syllabus.
Sharif: Today students should try to develop their knowledge. We have to focus on student talent. Proper training should be arranged for the teachers. Our government should make the latest environment in the education sector.

ধরু, তুমি মোঃ শরিফুল ইসলাম (শরীফ)। তোমার বন্ধু মোঃ রিপন হাসান (রিপন)। এখন, সাম্প্রতিক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভর্তি পরীক্ষায় পরীক্ষার্থীদের ব্যাপক ব্যর্থতার কারণ নিয়ে দুই বন্ধুর মধ্যে একটি সংলাপ লিখ।
শরীফঃ হ্যালো! রিপন, কেমন আছো?
রিপন: ভালো আছি। তোমার খবর কি?
শরীফঃ আমিও ভালো আছি। কিন্তু তোমাকে খুব মন খারাপ দেখাচ্ছে। তুমি চিন্তিত কেন?
রিপন: আমি আমার বোনের ভর্তি নিয়ে চিন্তিত। সে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভর্তি পরীক্ষায় যোগ্যতা অর্জন করতে পারেনি।
শরীফ: আপনার বোন কি এসএসসি ও এইচএসসি উভয় পরীক্ষায় জিপিএ-৫ পায়নি?
রিপন: হ্যাঁ, দুই পরীক্ষাতেই ভালো করেছে। কিন্তু বাস্তবতা হলো, ‘খ’ ইউনিটের পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ ৩৮৭৪ জনের মধ্যে মাত্র ১৭ জনই ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ইংরেজি পড়ার সুযোগ পেয়েছেন। একই অবস্থা অন্যান্য বিভাগ এমনকি অন্যান্য বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ক্ষেত্রেও একই।
শরীফ: আমি পত্রিকায় পড়েছি সাম্প্রতিক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভর্তি পরীক্ষায় পরীক্ষার্থীরা ব্যাপকভাবে ফেল করেছে। তোমার কোন ধারনা আছে?
রিপন: ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য শিক্ষার মানকে অতি সাধারণীকরণ করা হয়েছে বলে মন্তব্য করেছেন। জিপিএ-৫ পাওয়া সবার মেধা সমান নয়।
শরীফ: আমি তার সাথে একমত। বর্তমানে অভিভাবক ও শিক্ষকরা জিপিএ-৫ পাওয়ার জন্য খুবই আগ্রহী। কিন্তু শুধুমাত্র জিপিএ-৫ই সেরা মেধার জন্য সমাধান নয়।
রিপন: ঠিক বলেছ। সাম্প্রতিক ভর্তি পরীক্ষা এই সত্যকে প্রভাবিত করেছে। এখন শিক্ষার্থীরা বেশি কিছু জানতে নারাজ। তারা সীমিত সিলেবাসে সীমাবদ্ধ।
শরীফ: আজ শিক্ষার্থীদের উচিত তাদের জ্ঞান বিকাশের চেষ্টা করা। শিক্ষার্থীদের মেধার দিকে নজর দিতে হবে। শিক্ষকদের যথাযথ প্রশিক্ষণের ব্যবস্থা করতে হবে। আমাদের সরকারের উচিত শিক্ষা খাতে সর্বাধুনিক পরিবেশ তৈরি করা।
