Dear Anower,
First of all, take my cordial love. I received your letter. Hope you are fairly well by the grace of Almighty. In your letter you wanted to know about how we celebrate 21 February at our school campus. Now I am describing it.
21st February has become an iconic event for Bangalis all over the world. The day has been proclaimed the International Mother Language Day by UNESCO. We celebrated Ekushey February in our School. Our programme begins with the hoisting half mast of our national flag in the morning. In line with the spirit of the day, we took part on Probhat Ferry (Morning Procession) and placed floral wreaths at Shaheed Minar.
The students eagerly took part in it. It is a special day to us. We celebrate by showing proper honour to those Bangladeshi youths who laid down their lives to protect the dignity of their mother tongue. We are the only nation in the world that has given its life for language.
No more today. Offer my regards to your parents and love to all.

মনে কর, তুমি মোঃ শরিফুল ইসলাম। তুমি ঢাকায় থাক। তোমার বিদেশী বন্ধু মোঃ আনোয়ারুল ইসলাম। সে পর্তুগালে থাকে। সে তোমার স্কুল/কলেজে ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি উদযাপন সম্পর্কে জানতে চেয়েছিলেন।
এখন, তোমার স্কুল/কলেজে ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি উদযাপন সম্পর্কে তোমার বন্ধুকে একটি চিঠি লিখ।

প্রিয় আনোয়ার,
প্রথমত, আমার আন্তরিক ভালবাসা নিও। আমি তোমার চিঠি পেয়েছি। আশা করি মহান আল্লাহর রহমতে মোটামুটি ভালো আছো। তোমার চিঠিতে তুমি জানতে চেয়েছেন কিভাবে আমরা আমাদের স্কুল ক্যাম্পাসে ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি উদযাপন করি। এখন আমি তা বর্ণনা করছি।
২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারি সারা বিশ্বের বাঙালিদের জন্য একটি আইকনিক ইভেন্টে পরিণত হয়েছে। ইউনেস্কো দিবসটিকে আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস হিসেবে ঘোষণা করেছে। আমরা আমাদের স্কুলে একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারি উদযাপন করেছি। সকালে জাতীয় পতাকা অর্ধনমিত করার মধ্য দিয়ে আমাদের কর্মসূচি শুরু হয়। দিবসের চেতনার সাথে মিল রেখে আমরা প্রভাত ফেরিতে অংশ নিয়ে শহীদ মিনারে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ করি।
এতে শিক্ষার্থীরা সাগ্রহে অংশ নেয়। এটি আমাদের কাছে একটি বিশেষ দিন। আমরা সেইসব বাংলাদেশী যুবকদের যথাযথ সম্মান প্রদর্শন করে উদযাপন করি যারা তাদের মাতৃভাষার মর্যাদা রক্ষার জন্য তাদের জীবন উৎসর্গ করে। পৃথিবীতে আমরাই একমাত্র জাতি যারা ভাষার জন্য জীবন দিয়েছি।
আজ আর নয়। তোমার পিতামাতার প্রতি আমার শুভেচ্ছা এবং সকলের প্রতি ভালবাসা।
