Suppose, you are Md. Saiful Islam Babu. Your friend is Md. Samim Ahammed. He does not like to read daily newspapers.

Now, write a letter to your friend about the importance (গুরুত্ব) of reading newspapers.

My dear Samim,

Firstly, take my love. I am well. I hope you are also pretty well. I am sorry that I can not write a letter in time. Recently (সম্প্রতি) I have received your letter. In your letter, you have known that you do not read daily newspapers (সংবাদপত্র). Now I am describing (বর্ণনা) the importance of reading newspapers.

newspaper is important in our daily life (প্রাত্যহিক জীবন). It is called the storehouse (ভাণ্ডার) of knowledge. Day to day news is found in the newspaper. There is a lot of information in it. We can get national and international news . There are many topics which a highlights-like business, sports, share bazaar, science and technology, entertainment etc. If you read the newspaper daily, you can have a vast knowledge. Every student should read the newspaper to enrich his boundary (সীমানা) of knowledge. Sometimes you will find suggestions in the newspaper. This suggestion is helpful for your examination. I hope you read at least (অন্তত) an English newspaper daily.

প্রথমে আমার ভালোবাসা নাও। আমি ভাল আছি। আশা করি তুমিও ভালো আছো। সময় মতো চিঠি লিখতে পারিনি বলে দুঃখিত। সম্প্রতি আমি তেমার চিঠি পেয়েছি। তেমার চিঠিতে আমি জানতে পেরেছেন যে, তুমি দৈনিক পত্রিকা পড়ো না। এখন আমি সংবাদপত্র পড়ার গুরুত্ব সম্পর্কে বর্ণনা করছি।

আমাদের দৈনন্দিন জীবনে সংবাদপত্র গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। একে বলা হয় জ্ঞানের ভান্ডার। প্রতিদিন পত্রিকায় খবর পাওয়া যায়। এতে অনেক তথ্য রয়েছে। আমরা জাতীয় এবং আন্তর্জাতিক খবর পেতে পারি। ব্যবসা, খেলাধুলা, শারা বাজার, বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি, বিনোদন ইত্যাদির মতো অনেক বিষয় রয়েছে। তুমি যদি প্রতিদিন পেপার পড়ো, তাহলে তোমার অনেক জ্ঞান বাড়বে। প্রত্যেক শিক্ষার্থীকে তার জ্ঞানের সীমারেখা সমৃদ্ধ করতে সংবাদপত্র পড়া উচিত। মাঝে মাঝে খবরের কাগজে সাজশন পাবে। এই সাজেশন তোমার পরীক্ষার জন্য সহায়ক হবে। আমি আশা করি তুমি প্রতিদিন অন্তত একটি ইংরেজি সংবাদপত্র পড়বে।

আজ আর নয়। তোমার পিতামাতার প্রতি আমার শুভেচ্ছা এবং সকলের প্রতি ভালবাসা।
