It was a hot summer day (summertime). The sun was scorching everywhere. At that time a crow was very thirsty. It wanted to find something for drinking but there was no water around for the crow. So it started flying in search of water. Finally it searched for water in vain. Suddenly it found a jar in the field.
So, it flew to the pitcher. When it peered into the pitcher, it was surprised to find that there was little water at the bottom of the pitcher. It tried its heart and soul to reach the water level but failed. It had no way to drink water. After a few times, a plan came to his mind. Then it picked up the pebbles one by one and dropped them into the pitcher.
As a result, the water level in the pitcher rose. When the water came near its reach, it drank and quenched its thirst and flew away.
Moral: Nothing is impossible with human effort or where there’s a will there’s a way.

একটি তৃষ্ণার্ত কাকের গল্প
ইহা গ্রীষ্মের একটি গরম দিন ছিল। সব জায়গায় রোদ প্রচন্ড ঝলসে যাচ্ছিল। সে সময় একটা কাক খুব তৃষ্ণার্ত হয়েছিল। এটি পানের জন্য খোঁজ করতে চাইল কিন্তু কাকের জন্য আশেপাশে পানি ছিল না। তাই এটি পানির খোঁজে উড়ে যেতে লাগলো। অবশেষে এটি পানির খোঁজ বৃথা গেল। হঠাৎ করে মাঠের মধ্যে এটি একটা কলস খুঁজে পেল।
তাই, এটি কলসের কাছে উড়ে গেল। যখন এটি কলসের মধ্যে উঁকি দিল, তখন অবাক হয়ে দেখতে পেল কলসের নীচে সামান্য পানি ছিল। এটি পানির স্তরে পৌঁছানোর জন্য হৃদয় এবং আত্মা চেষ্টা করেছিল কিন্তু ব্যর্থ হয়েছিল। এটি পানি পান করার জন্য উপায় পেল না। কিছুক্ষন পর এটির মাথায় বুদ্ধি আসলো। তারপর এটি একের পর এক নুড়ি তুলে কলসের মধ্যে ফেলেছে।
ফলস্বরূপ, কলসীর পানির স্তর বেড়ে গেল। পানি যখন তার নাগালের কাছাকাছি আসে, তখন এটি পান করেছিল এবং তার তৃষ্ণা নিবারণ করেছিল এবং উড়ে গিয়েছিল।
